Violence in Prison Happens Every Day

Prison is a place in which people are physically confined and, usually, deprived of a range of personal freedoms. Other terms are penitentiary, correctional facility, and jail , although in the United States "jail" and "prison" refer to different subtypes of correctional facility. Prisons are conventionally institutions which form part of the criminal justice system of a country, such that imprisonment or incarceration is a legal penalty that may be imposed by the state for the commission of a crime.

A criminal suspect who has been charged with or is likely to be charged with criminal offense may be held on remand in prison if he is denied or unable to meet conditions of bail, or is unable or unwilling to post bail. A criminal defendant may also be held in prison while awaiting trial or a trial verdict. If found guilty, a defendant will be convicted and may receive a custodial sentence requiring imprisonment
As well as convicted or suspected criminals, prisons may be used for internment of those not charged with a crime. A prison system is the organizational arrangement of the provision and operation of prisons, and depending on their nature, may invoke a corrections system.

This is a must to read book

We need a new system. Prison makes no sense. We basically put people into their own kind and let them run loose back into society twice the servant of hell. How does this change them? Give them more ideas, make them even more crazy, wanting to bring back revenge?

You bet so. We need to start separating them, giving counselors and treatment. How about rehab? These people only become more dangerous every time we send them to jail and back. I believe we can change them into good people -all they need is some help.

The Best way to get out of trouble is
Jesus Christ

A lot of prisoners are non violent offenders, like some drug users and dealers and people that sold some weed.....not all prisoners are animals and scumbags, that is why the justice system is destroying  America.
Non violent offenders should have a lot more freedoms and be thought  our laws and why they are on our books. They shouldn't be on the same level as rapists and murderers.
